Why Lewis Carroll writes fantasies? Lewis Carroll, whose real name is Charles Dodgson, started writing poems and stories to entertain his brothers and sisters. Pretty soon, he was making up stories to entertain all his friends. He has a good imagination which allows him to write unrealisticstories about unrealistic characters.
