1. Division Five 36 Seven Bowl Angels AFTER THISI looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacleof the testimony in heaven was opened. And the seven angels came out of thetemple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure andwhite linen, and having across their chests golden bands. And one of the four living creatures gave unto the seven angelsseven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who lives for ever andever. And the temple was filled with smoke from theglory of God, and from His power; and no one was able to enter into the temple, tillthe seven plagues of the seven angels werefulfilled. Woman on a Scarlet Beast And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, and talked withme, saying unto me: “Come here; I will show unto you the judgement of the greatwhore that sits upon many waters; with whom the kings of the earth have committedfornication and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication”. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I sawa woman sittingupon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names ofblasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colours, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a goldencup in her hand full ofabominations and full of her fornication. (Continued…) 37 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, andwith the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, Iwondered with great admiration. And upon her forehead was a name written: ‘MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH’. And the angel said unto me: “Why do you marvel? I will tell youthe mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, whichhas the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that you saw was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition. And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names werenot written in the scroll of life from the foundation of the world;when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the otheris not yet come; and when he comes, he must continue a short time. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is ofthe seven, and goes into perdition. And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which havereceived no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hourwith the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he isLord of lords, and King of kings: and they that arewith him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” And he said unto me, “The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, arepeoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.And the ten horns which you saw upon the beast, these shall hatethe whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat herflesh, and burn her with fire.For God has put in their hearts to fulfil His will,and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the wordsof God shall be fulfilled. And the woman which you saw is that greatcity, which reigns over the kings of the earth”.

2. Bowl Judgments And I heard a great voice out of thetemple saying to the sevenangels: “Go your ways, and pour out the vialsof the wrath of Godupon the earth.” 38 Harvest And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud One sat like unto the Son of man, having on His head a golden crown,and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple,crying with a loud voiceto Him that sat on the cloud, “Thrust in your sickle, and reap: forthe time is come for You to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” And He that sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth; andthe earth was reaped. 39 1st Bowl And the first angel poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell noisome and grievous soresupon the men who had the mark of thebeast, and upon them who worshipped his image. 2nd Bowl And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man; and every living soul died in the sea.

3. 3rd Bowl And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains ofwaters; and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the waters say: “You are righteous, O Lord,which are, and was, and shall be, because You havejudged thus. Forthey have shed theblood of saints and prophets, and Youhave giventhem blood to drink; for they are deserving.” And I heard another out of the altar say: “Even so, Lord GodAlmighty, true and righteous are Your judgements.” 5th Bowl And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues becauseof the pain.And they blasphemed theGodof heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. 4th Bowl 6th Bowl And the fourth angel poured out his vial uponthesun; and powerwas given unto him to scorch men with fire.And men were scorched withgreat heat, and blasphemed the nameof God,who has power over these plagues: and theyrepented not togive Him glory. And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great riverEuphrates; and the waterthereof was dried up, that the wayof the kings of the east might be prepared. 40 41
