Summarizing the Gospel1 Corinthians 15:1-11 Paul will repeat himself – vs. 1-2 The core facts of the Gospel – vs. 3-4 Jesus died for our sins Jesus was buried Jesus was raised from the dead on the 3rd day Eyewitness of the Resurrected Jesus – vs. 5-8
Saving Faith Faith must be in the correct object Faith in faith does not save It must be the Biblical Jesus – the one who is *God incarnate, *sinless, who *died as a substitute sacrifice for sin, was *buried, was *raised from the dead, *ascended to Heaven and will *return for His people
Doubting the Resurrection1 Corinthians 15:12 Professing “Christians” who deny the resurrection: Theological Liberals – the “Swoon theory” Mystics – the “ghost theory” Evangelicals – who believe in reincarnation
