SEACS: Sustainable Energy Across the Common Space • Community energy project • €2 million project • INTERREG IV A France (Channel) – England programme, ERDF funded. • Promote European “citizenship” • Cooperation: exchange and joint activities • Support projects that would not normally be locally funded. • 3 year project, runs until September 2014.
Aim and Objectives • Aim • Empower and inspire people on each side of the “English” Channel to actively reduce their energy consumption. • Objectives • Raise awareness of climate and energy issues • Encourage long term behavioural changes regarding energy use. • Learn from each other • Testing and sharing new or innovative methods • Develop common tools

Foreign languages – Activity guide • Letter to a pen friend, including • Whether their house if it’s warm, cold, airy • Seasons and climate • How they prepare for the weather • French conversation • Energy themed French script, translations and matching activity • Posters & videos, including • Energy saving & climate messages “Nous avons un chauffage central au gaz de ville mais comme c’est une grande maison, elle prend du temps à chauffer.
