Lamar Blvd, Bldg C Austin, Texas, 78752• 512-424-2211 April 7, 2011 Hosted by: The Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) and the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) present a one day summit on Identity Theft—its economic, personal and employment impacts. Identity theft victimizations can be complex and challenge every area of the justice system in protecting communities and addressing victimization. Hosted by the Texas Department of Public Safety-Victim Services, the interactive victim assistance Summit will encourage participants to contribute their experiences and strategies in identity theft victim assistance. The Summit will use state and national experts to address a range of identity theft victim assistance issues to include: • The types and generations of identity theft • Identity theft laws • Identity theft awareness and protection strategies • Identity theft victim assistance tools Sponsors: Sponsored by: Who Should Attend?The Summit is open to Victim Assistance Providers, Case Workers, Financial Organizations, allied professionalsas well as law enforcement ( commissioned/non-commissioned) personnel.
