  1. John Adams “The revolution was in the minds of people…before a drop of blood was shed at Lexington.” -John Adams By : Lindsay

  2. John Adams was born October 30, 1735. He was born in Quincy, Massachusetts. John was the oldest of three brothers.

  3. His mother’s name was Susanna Boylston Adams. During his childhood, he spent more time playing than doing his school work. However, John attended Harvard at the age of 16. He went on to become a lawyer. After he married Abigail Smith Adams , they had six children.

  4. John Adams enjoyed the following activities: fishing , walking , and reading.

  5. He was the first Vice President(while George Washington was president), and he was the second President of the United States of America (1797-1801). He was the first President to live in the White House. Many considered John Adams to be honest, strong, smart & brave.

  6. A few of John Adam’s major life accomplishments were: He helped write the Declaration of Independence. (That changed the world by declaring our independence from Britain) He then helped make peace with Britain. (John Adams changed the world by preventing war…he once said, “there is no such thing as a good war and a bad peace” ) He helped make the treaty that ended the war. He helped decide where the new country’s boundaries would be.

  7. He died July 4th 1826. That was 50 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed. He was 90 years old when he died. His last words were “ Thomas Jefferson survives.” but he did not know Thomas had died a few hours earlier.
