College Application Week • 2009 Highlights • 421 high schools registered. • 116 school districts represented with at least one high school registered; 75 school districts with all high schools registered. • Nearly 25,000 students submitted over 50,000 applications. • Based on data analysis for the 2008 CAW participants, nearly 80% of students were enrolled in a post-secondary institution the following spring semester; and of these students, nearly 90% were enrolled in a North Carolina institution. Student: “I liked the help with filling out, submitting and paying for applications. It was easier to do than by myself.” Professional: “The event gave students the awareness that this is really going to happen, that graduation is not that far away and it is time to apply to at least one college.”

Applications and Transcripts • CFNC Online Admissions Applications • 1,942,567 applications sent through CFNC.org as of August 31, 2010. • CFNC Electronic High School Transcripts • Partnership between CFNC and NCDPI. • 448 high schools now participate in the CFNC.org Electronic Transcript System.  All public/charter schools are participating with the exception of Guilford and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Counties. • CFNC.org has now delivered 322,042 electronic transcripts.

Summer Counselor Internship • The summer counselor internship program, providing opportunities for high school counselors to work in financial aid offices across the state, will return in 2011! • Interns will work three to six 30-hour weeks. • Interns will be paid $700 per week. • Program details, host campuses and application will be posted at www.ncseaa.edu/internship.htm in January 2011.
