Discussing the positioning of ACD tiles and hardware requirements for the CERN beam test, including the use of spare tiles and available cables.

ACD in 2006 CERN beam test Here I am listing beam test ACD issues for discussion: • ACD will be represented in CERN beam test instrument by minimum 4, and maximum 8 tiles; single-row chassi with FREE board; and appropriate GASU cables. Found spare FREE for use in CU! • Preliminary position of the tiles is shown in next slide. ACD shall be mounted in the frame which allows flexibility of tile positioning depending on MC results. Tile mounting is done by taping (Velcro?) tiles to the frame rather than using flight design of screwing them down. Or have pre-drilled threaded holes in the container? • Tiles will be boxed in thin plastic to prevent their damage during handling, installation and re-positioning 4. I assume that tiles can be positioned in different places, or entirely removed depending on particular run task
FREE board and chassi –found spare! • GASU cables – available, both from SLAC (ACD QualUnit) and from GSFC. Check the lengths Action items: • Agree ACD tiles number and positioning • Agree ACD mechanical arrangement • Approve the use of (doubled) flight spare tile “H” - done
