  3. H6 test beam 27 July –10Aug Setup • Mechanics: Freiburg support frame with provision to rotate the chambers • Reference systems: • 2 or 4 xy chambers (0.250 mm pitch) – equipped with 1x + 1y APV25 (2 or 4 HDMI cables), mounted on both ends of Freiburg frame • Si telescope (BAT), 3 xy stations at 0.5 – 1 m downstream of MM setup • 8x-strip chambers (0.4 mm pitch) to be tested, mounted on frame back-to-back • 1 x 1 m2 MM (single coordinate) • Trigger: scintillators Electronics: VMM1 (new BNL chip) and APV25 • Reference chambers: 8 APV25 (4 HDMI cables) • All 8 chambers can be equipped with APV25 for TPC mode studies (remove time jitter using ref. MMs ?) • All 8 chambers can be equipped with BNL chip for data readout (TPC mode) • All 8 chambers can be equipped with BNL chip for trigger studies (connected to FPGA evaluation board) Measurements • Systematic studies of BNL chip performance compared to APV25 • Measure resolution as function of track angle (for different Edrift), track reconstruction • Measure performance of 1 x 1 m2 MM (strip length ≥ 1 m)
