Remember: • PowerPoint to powerpoints2goldman@gmail.com • By 8 a.m. on day of presentation (IPC TR Class and PS Class) • Bring back up copy • Required to critique and ask questions • Print critique sheets from faculty webpage • Group evaluation forms • On my faculty webpage (form and info on deadline) • Submit via email to goldmangroupevaluations@gmail.com

  3. PowerPoint • How many slides? • Design – be strategic • Font • Animation • Color/background • Practice with the PowerPoint • Limited text • No full sentences or chunks of text • Including clips? • Do the links work? • Are they already pulled up?

  4. Presentation Skills • Eye contact • Vocal variety • Everyone participates • Where will you stand? • What will you do when you’re not talking? • Practice with each other • Transition from person to person • 8 to 12 minutes • Majority should NOT be video/clips

  5. Handling the Q&A • Direct the answer to everyone • Be honest about your answers • Restate/Rephrase the question, if necessary • One person shouldn’t respond to all questions • Call on people as you see them • One liner conclusion after Q&A (no “that’s it”) • As an audience member • Pay attention • Do not ask unrelated questions • Do not ask questions of material already addressed
