THE REASON THEY ARE ENDANGERED AND WHO IS HELPING THEM • The threat to the cross river gorilla is hunting. people find them as a threat and so they kill them. The people who kill them are farmers that have fruit trees which the gorilla eats off of.ICUN means International Union of Conservation of Wildlife which means they try to protect wildlife that is endangered.WCS is another group helping this species out by trying to stop the burning of this species forests. WCS means wildlife conservation society.
WHAT WE CAN DO TO HELP • What we can do to help this species is to use less wood supplies so we do not have to cut down more forest. The more wood we cut down the less habitats these animals have to live in. That is a way we could help these animals is to use less wood.
WHERE IT LIVES, WHAT IT EATS, REPRODUCTION. • It lives in the southern section of Nigeria - Cameroon border. Also it eats fruits that grow in the trees in the forests. In the mating process the female has the baby in about eight and a half months. Then looks after the baby for three years. The population of the species is about 200 to 300.
