  4. RRI Upgrade • Convert to web-based… user friendly • Targeted users: • State agencies • Federal agencies • Industry • Researchers • Public interest groups • Federal On-Scene Coordinators

Functional Categories • Site information • All hazard support systems • Mechanical oil spill response • Alternative technology oil spill response • Hazardous materials release response • Marine firefighting • Marine salvage • Natural disaster relief response • Transport/Delivery resources • Manufacturers

RRI Function • Voluntary participation • Targeting ownedassets • Planning based • Assists in response plan development • Facilitates equipment purchase/location decisions • Help locate specific equipment during response • Carryover all current functions • Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO) classification

  7. Contract Award Status • GovWorks (MMS) contract • In “pre-solicitation” phase. • Contract solicitation will appear on • http://www.fedbizopps.gov. • Anticipate contract award by end of April

  8. Emphasis Points • Assets added to the RRI must have a metric to ensure data accurate & current. • The RRI will hyperlink to other resource databases. • The National RRI is voluntary and for planning purposes… not tactical.
