What are we doing? • Started June 2012 • 12 librarians, 11 libraries • Goal: “…to present a unified, consistent and contemporary search experience that fits users’ expectations for modern, simple content discovery, while maintaining the experts capabilities for staff.” (OCLC Cooperative eNews, July 2012)
How are we doing it? • One-on-one virtual usability testing • Virtual meetings • Prototype feedback • Usability testing

What’s next? • Usability testing with 6 music graduate students • Open beta testing late February • Open migration to new FirstSearch starts July 2013 • New and old versions of FirstSearch to run parallel for 1 year
