    10. Enhancing Membership Value Establish greater membership protections Stricter initial membership requirements will prevent unethical companies from joining IAM. Greater oversight on payment issues between members Improved capacity to intervene on payment disputes Intervention will induce better behavior. Rigorous tracking and detection of companies misusing IAM name and logo Potential clients may choose these companies based solely on price and justify that decision because of their false affiliations with moving associations around the world. FEDEMAC is aiding in this process.

    11. The Receivable Protection Program (RPP) Insurance program for the membership How does it work? IAM insures the commercial invoices of all IAM members. If an IAM member goes out of business, a claim can be submitted for compensation. If all conditions are met, the claimant will receive reimbursement. At current participation levels, IAM can pay up to $4,000 USD per claim. If more members sign up, we can increase the amount of money that we pay out per claim.

    12. RPP Claims Payouts

    13. Invoice Dispute Resolution Process New policy requested by our international members. RPP participants can bring any invoice dispute they have with another IAM member to the Association and we will intervene. RPP participants will be provided with a list of those IAM members who have been alleged to not be paying their invoices on the first Monday of every month. IAM will also work with the accused company if they have debts outstanding from other IAM members.

    14. IAM Code of Ethics Established by the Association in 2008 Enforcement procedures were not developed though Over the past year, IAM has received several member requests to intervene on ethical disputes between members. Based on these requests, IAM leadership has formally resolved to establish the following in order to supplement the Code of Ethics: IAM Ethics Taskforce IAM Members’ Ethics Council IAM Code of Ethics Enforcement Procedures More to Come On Ethics in the Panel Discussion
