As new financial instruments are launched, new valuation techniques are developed and new markets are opened, there is a need for practitioners to update their knowledge. Two seminars, given by a Prof J Gupta (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris) are being organised to address two major issues at the forefront of Applied Finance: Session I:    Investing in Emerging Markets Session II: Real Options and Business Valuation

  2. SESSION I:    INVESTING IN EMERGING MARKETSFriday 22 September 2006 0930 hr-1230 hr MQA Code- SN 35943 Identify thespecificities of emerging markets. Cover the key aspects of their equity and bond markets. Apply main concepts to structured finance andproject finance in Asia.

  4. PROF J P GUPTA Prof J P Gupta (PhD, University of Manchester) is Professor of International Finance at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP- EAP). He is involved as consultant to several multinational corporations, government services and international organisations, including the World Bank and the European Commission. His consulting activities include venture capital, development of new technology-related companies, including science park facilities, privatisation, and development of R&D within a national and regional context. He has widely published in areas of International Finance, International Joint Ventures and contemporary issues in the International Transfer of Technology. He is also the Chief Editor of the Euro-Asian Journal of Management

  5. FEES Rs 2,000 per session, including tea breaks and training kit. A package of Rs 3,500 will be offered to participants who register for both sessions.
