  1. Thunderstorms A thunderstorm is a tall Cumulonimbus cloud full of heated air. A thunderstorm forms when cold air pushes against worm air causing the warm air to rise. Thunderstorms form all around the world.

Fun facts • Every day, 10 million lightning bolts strike the earth • Lightning can heat the surrounding air to over 30,000 • Lightning travels as fast as 90,000 miles per second • Lightning is three times hotter than the sun. • Lightning is one of the hottest things going • A lightning stroke can carry 200,000 amperes

  3. In 1752, a lighting hit Benjamin Franklin but he still survive. A long time ago people though that angry gods was throw lighting bolts from the heaven. But 1700s scientists offered an explanation for lighting. In July 1995, a fast moving group thunderstorms hit New York State and winds reached up to 100 miles per hour, also over 3,000 lighting bolts strike in one minutes.
