Test results • 325 MHz, 1 kW Amplifier modules has been designed in three types of pcb material boards as, • FR4 • PTFE • TC350 1) 325 MHz Amplifier- FR4 - Technique-I Short time test (1/2 hr) : 1 kW Long term test (8 hrs) : 800 W Power gain (1 dB) : 19.5 dB Overall Efficiency : 68 % 325 MHz, 1 kW board Manjiri / RFSS/IADD/Physics Group/BARC
1) 325 MHz Amplifier- FR4 – combined – Test set up Tested Results Power: 600 W /module 2 modules of 600 W each and are combined 2-way micro strip combiner Overall power gain: 19.8 dB Ptotal:1.04 kW Overall Efficiency : 62.7 % . Manjiri / RFSS/IADD/Physics Group/BARC
1) 1 kW SSPA Assembly in progress These two tested FR4 boards are now being housed in one single rack along with all other associated components like, 1. SMPS DC power supplies 2. Driver amplifier 3. RF modules, 4. Input splitter 5. output combiner 6. directional Coupler 7. Analog interlocking & protection circuit 8. Size: 19” 6U rack Manjiri / RFSS/IADD/Physics Group/BARC
2) 325 MHz Amplifier- PTFE board - Technique-II • Center frequency : 325 MHz • Power output (CW ): 1046 W • Gain minimum : 19.8 dB • Cooling : Water Cooled • Efficiency (Total) : 64% This board was tested for 3 Hrs for the above mentioned parameters. After that there was thermal breakdown of some capacitors in the output circuit. Now, new boards are under design. Manjiri / RFSS/IADD/Physics Group/BARC
3) 325 MHz Amplifier- TC350 board - Technique-III Preliminary test results Center frequency : 325 MHz Power output (CW) : 834 W Gain : 22.2dB Cooling : Water Cooled Efficiency (Total) : 69.7% 1 kW RF module Manjiri / RFSS/IADD/Physics Group/BARC

325 MHz, 3 kW and 7 kW SSRFPA 1. Design of 3 kW, 325 MHz SSRFPA has been completed. Material procurement and fabrication of sub systems has started. Its input splitter (1:4) has been fabricated and preliminary testing is being done. • Design of 7 kW, 325 MHz SSRFPA has started Manjiri / RFSS / IADD / Physics Group / BARC
