Li Two Simple Steps: Step 1: Round the atomic mass to the nearest whole number Example: 6.941 rounds to 7 Step 2: Subtract the atomic number from this rounded number (Atomic number is 3) Example: 7 - 3 = 4 neutrons Atomic Number Lithium 6.941 Atomic Mass Lithium atoms have 4 neutrons
