  3. Signed FAS Charge Authorization Approved and Active Animal Care and Use Protocol (ACUO/IACUC) Both PI and Administrator sign Accounting information maintained in Granite Database Approved IACUC listing and Active Account numbers maintained Veterinary Resources Requirements

Cost Calculations Careday = one entity (cage or animal) for one day e.g. – 1 mouse cage present for 30 days = 30 caredays e.g. – 3 monkeys present for 30 days = 90 caredays Per Diem Calculation 30 caredays x $0.70 (rate for mice) = $21.00 Veterinary Medical Fee Calculation 30 caredays x $0.06 (rate for mice) = $ 1.80 Total Cost = $22.80 for one cage for 30 days Animal Requisition Costs = 10% of invoiced amount or $22.67/primate

Future Enhancements • Animal Requisition email notification • Reduce number of FAS charge line items from 4 to 2 • Revise Staff Account Bills to group similar charges and simplify FAS reconciling for Departmental Administrators/Managers • New eUMB Accounting System Integration • 100% compatible with Granite System • Account number changes will be truncated in Granite but unique enough to identify account • Charges upload through FTP – timely delivery of charges
