view of e-Logbook • Features: • WIKI style text input • insert pictures and documents • PDF will be shown by it’s content • works with most browsers • applet for the dynamic tree • view of the shifts • applet to do the spell checking • remote access with https • hosted at DESY • Questions: • what do you need ? • what do you expect ? • is one logbook enough ? https://ttfinfo.desy.de/CALICEelog-sec Sven Karstensen, DESY
The future… ...will bring the advantage of GANMVL/GDN (Global Accelerator Network Multipurpose Virtual Laboratory / Global Detector Network)to you.what is behind this glorious name? Sven Karstensen, DESY
GANMVL includes • Web-Portal • SSO (single sign on) • VRVS (Virtual Rooms VideoConferencing System) • e-Logbook • VNC (Virtual Network Computing) connections • high quality video and audio systems • Virtual instruments (oscilloscope, camera, multimeter,…) Sven Karstensen, DESY

Timetable (probably) • In the last GANMVL collaboration meeting (23.-24. Feb 2006) it was decided to install the first prototype at the end of May 2006 inside DESY. • One for GANMVL and one for GDN • Hopefully we can use the CERN Testbeam time (and you ;-) ) as a good area to get experience with all the new tools Sven Karstensen, DESY
