2013-2014 Flashback • Held the 1st Annual Adviser Leadership Conference with 40 in attendance! • Co-hosted Chapter Leadership Camp with HOSA! • Largest Fall Leadership Conference with 1,400 members, advisers and guests in attendance! • State Leadership Conference attendance increased by 50% from previous year!
2013-2014 Flashback • State Membership increased by 70% from the year prior and Arizona received the largest membership percentage increase for the Pacific Region at the National Leadership Conference! • Attendance at the National Leadership Conference increase by 50%!
2014 National Leadership Conference Results • Arizona FCCLA – 70 Participants in 29 STAR Events – including all 3 Categories (Junior, Senior, and Occupational) • This is a 36% from NLC 2013 where there were 45 Participants in 17 STAR Events • Overall Individual Medals: • 27 Gold • 32 Silver • 11 Bronze • Team/Event Breakdown: • 18 Gold • 19 Silver • 6 Bronze

Adviser Leadership Conference (ALC) • Friday-Saturday, August 22-23, 2014 • Embassy Suites Biltmore – Tempe, AZ • Registration - $135 • Hotel - $99 per night (plus tax) • Registration includes: • 2 working lunches, lesson plans, materials, free shirt • Content: Best practices, roundtable discussions, competitive event updates, plus much more!
Leadership Camp (open to all) • Thursday-Saturday, September 11-13, 2014 • Camp Pine Summit – Prescott, AZ • Registration - $140 per person • Includes 5 meals (dinner on Thurs through breakfast on Sat), lodging 2 nights (Thurs & Fri), and camp shirt • Joint Camp with HOSA • Open to all members
Fall Leadership Extravaganza (FLEX) • Friday, November 7, 2014 • Phoenix Convention Center & US Airways Center • Registration - $35 per person • $60 per person with game or activity • Over 70 workshops to choose from – including careers, college, financial aide, Family and Consumer Sciences (program/content area), FCCLA competitive events, etc. • Exhilarating keynote speaker • Co-hosted with FBLA and HOSA
Regional Conferences • Dates are TBD – January and February, 2015 • Locations – TBD • Registration – TBD • Format – One-day conference offering competitive events in all areas to give students more exposure and preparation for SLC • Please note that not ALL competitive will be offered at each regional conference • Each chapter must attend the regional conference that falls within their region
State Leadership Conference (SLC) • Monday-Wednesday, March 30-April 1, 2015 • Westin La Paloma– Tucson • Registration - $70 Traditional, $25 Culinary Fees • Hotel - $135 per night (plus tax) • Schedule will be modified slightly from last year – information coming soon
National Leadership Conference (NLC) • July 4-10, 2015 • Washington DC • Registration will continue through Arizona FCCLA state office • It will include: hotel, conference registration, AZ travel package, AZ optional events • Does not include airfare, airport transportation, additional registration fees, spending money, other meals, optional excursions/tours, etc. • More information to come…

Arizona – Types of Membership • Traditional Chapter Membership • Minimum is 12 members and 1 adviser • Not all students in your classroom are members • 12 Members ($15 each) • 1 Adviser ($15 each) • Chapter Fee ($10) • Total Program Membership Affiliation • Based on last year’s enrollment in your FACS program (100th day report) • All students in your class are a FCCLA member – total program delivery model • Sliding scale fee schedule • New Membership Reporting Method for 2014-2015

Membership Classifications/Categories • Comprehensive vs. Occupational • Comprehensive Affiliation • Students who have been, or are, enrolled in a Family and Consumer Science course • First and Second Year students – still learning the standards • Occupational Affiliation • Students who are enrolled in a school-to-work based program (Coop course) • Advanced students that are mainly in a Work-Based Learning program • NOTES: Once you enroll a member in one affiliation (Comprehensive or Occupational) – you cannot change them during that school year • This will affect what type of competition your student can compete in – please ask before you select if you are unsure!

FCCLA At The Table • New Initiative: FCCLA At The Table • FCCLA members (6th-12th grade) take a pledge • Plan and prepare a meal for their families (simple, healthy, elaborate…their choice) • One-time commitment or more • The idea behind it, is to have the family sit down together and enjoy a meal served with plenty of conversation and laughter – try a themed meal, an activity afterwards, etc. • Can tie into National Programs if desired, such as: Student Body, Financial Fitness, etc.

Outstanding Chapter Award – Arizona Chapter Recognition Program • Chapters are doing the work – why not receive recognition for it!!! • Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards • RECOGNITION: Chapters will receive name tag ribbons at state, an official certificate for the chapter (Silver and Gold will receive a plaque) and chapter recognition on the Arizona FCCLA website • Bronze is achievable by ALL! You are already doing it by chartering your chapter every year… • Deadline – March 1 (March 2, 2015)
Member of the Month Program • Nominate your students for the hard work they do in your chapter each month! • Form is short and simple to fill out. • Deadline is the 1st of each month beginning September 1 and ending March 1. • Top “Member of the Month” will receive Member of the Year for 2014-2015. • Students receive recognition on FCCLA social media and at the State Leadership Conference.
