  2. WHAT’S NEW for 2019 DEADLINES APPLICATION PROCESS SELECTION CRITERIA

  3. DEADLINE ALL APPLICATIONS OCTOBER 11, 2019 All ONLINE

  4. Every Application Must Have • 1) Fully complete online form • 2) All official transcripts uploaded • 3) All required attachments uploaded • 4) All letters of support submitted to online portal • *By the deadline (Oct 11)

  5. APPLICATION PROCESS • ALL FILES • ONLINE Application is accessed by SGS • SGS committees meet and assess files • SGS committees select files to forward to National Competition, based on quota: • CIHR (4) • NSERC (19) • SSHRC (23) • SGS sends files to National by November 21

  6. SELECTION CRITERIA ALL Files Research ability and potential 50% Relevant experience/achievements 50%

  7. ADVICE • Start NOW • Read ALL the instructions • Get transcripts • Contact letter writers • Seek advice on Program of Study • Proofread EVERYTHING • Proofread it all again
