  8. Requirements Computer System • Pentium IV 2.66 Ghz, 512 MB Ram, 80 GB Hdd, Cd R/w, 2 USB Ports, UPS for battery power backup. Software • Operating System - Win XP Home/Prof • MS Office (Excel) • Mobile Software / Drivers • Branded Antivirus (optional if PC not connected to internet) Supporting Gadgets • Sony Ericsson Handsets compatible with PC • USB cable to connect handset with PC.

  9. Installation Steps • Mobile Driver / Software (Sony Ericsson PC Suite software) • Installation of ZiacSMS Vodafone application

  10. Installation of Mobile Driver / Software • Do not connect the mobile or the USB cable • Boot up the system • Insert mobile installation CD • The software will start automatically and follow the onscreen instructions

  12. Click on install under PC Suite

  13. Click on Next

  14. Select I Accept and click on Next

  15. Select Complete and Click on Next

  16. Click on Install

  17. Click on Launch and Click Finish

  18. Click on Close

  20. Click on Next

  21. Select USB and click on Next

  22. Switch on The Mobile Phone. Make sure the phone is fully charged • Check system date / time and Connect the Sony Ericsson Mobile to the PC using the USB Cable • Always connect the mobile to the same USB Port on the system

  23. Select Phone Mode on the mobile

  24. Click on Next

  25. Click on Finish

  26. Click on “Yes” and Select Everytime • Click on OK

  28. Close the PC Suite Software Screen • The PC Suite Software will be running in the system tray

  29. Steps to Check COM Port for the Mobile Device Connected Click on Start -> Control Panel

  30. Double Click on Phone and Modem Options

  31. Click on Modems

  32. The com port associated with your mobile device is shown in the list

  33. Installation of ZiacSMS Vodafone application

  34. Locate the file ZiacSMS_Vodafone_install.exe in the CD • Double click on the file ZiacSMS_Vodafone_Install.Exe

  35. Accept the License Agreement and click on Next

  36. Enter the User Name and Organization Name and click on Next

  37. To change the default destination of installation click on “Change” and select the folder, Else click on Next

  38. Click on Install

  39. The Installation will continue

  40. Click on Finish to complete the installation

  41. Update using Live Update • Close All software • Connect to Internet • Browse to C:\program files\ziacsms vodafone • Double click on Live Update

  42. Opening ZiacSMS Vodafone Application • Close all open applications including Microsoft Excel • Select Start – Program Files – ZiacSMS Vodafone application OR Double Click on the ZiacSMS Icon on the desktop to open ZiacSMS Vodafone application

  43. Entering License Key • Enter the License Key in the Box and Click on OK

  44. Please enter the password (a new password needs to be created for the first time)

  45. Initial Settings • Make sure the proper COM port is selected • To change the com port for the mobile device connected, click on the “?” button next to the com port box and select the port from the drop down

  46. Check the modem Information
