  2. PABLO NERUDA • This Is a picture of Pablo Neruda in his late 30s or 40s.

  3. EARLY BEGINNING Pablo Neruda was born July 2, 1904 • He was born in Parral in the southern part of Chile. • He had a father who was a railway worker and his mother died when he was only two years old. http://www.kirjasto.scifi/neruda.htm

  5. LATE CHILDHOOD 1914-1916 • Pablo got in interest in poetry so he started to write poems when he was only 10 years old. • Then at the age of 12 he met the famous poet Gabriela Mistrial who encored him to continue his love for poetry.

  7. TEENAGE YEARS TO YOUNG ADULTHOOD 1917 - 1924 • PABLO NERUDA STARTED TO GET VERY SERIOUS WITH WORKING WITH POETRY IN 1918. • HIS PARENTS DID NOT REALLY ENJOY HIM WORKING WITH POETRY. • HIS POEM WAS PUBLISHED IN A MAGAZINE HIS POEM WAS CALLED “ MIS OJOS “.

  8. THIS IS A PICTURE OF PABLO WHEN HE WAS ABOUT 25 YEARS OLD.

  9. ADULTHOOD 1925 - 1940 • AT THE AGE OF 23 NERUDA WAS APPOINTED BY THE CHILEAN GOVERNMENT AS A COUNSUL TO BURMA. • THEN CONTUINUED TO WRITE POETRY AND RELEASE THEM INTO MAGAZINES.

  11. LATE ADULTHOOD 1940 – 1960 • He visited Cuba and created the poem canto de amor para stalingrado. • Later that year his daughter Malva Marina died in Europe.

  12. Pablo Neruda slowly went into a long depression after his daughter.

  15. FINAL YEARS • Pablo Neruda was nominated for presidency but decided it was to big of a job for his age. • Finally after so many long years Pablo won the nobal prize. 1970 - 1972

  16. Here is Pablo living in his house training his bird and living the rest of his life.
