  3. 1794 • First Panorama opens, the forerunner of the movie house invented by Robert Barker

  4. 1839 • The word “Photograph” was first used by Sir John F.W.

  5. 1843 • First advertisement with a photograph made in Philadelphia.

  6. 1851 • Frederick Scoff Archer invented the wet plate negative.

  7. 1879 • The dry plate was invented.(unknown inventor)

  8. 1885 • Pixar introduces digital imaging processor.

  9. 1886 • The first megapixel sensor is invented by Kodak.

  10. 1889 • George Eastman invented a glass negative.

  11. 1897 • The first television camera employed early versions of the cathode ray tube.

  12. 1913 • 35mm camera is developed

  13. Early 1940’s • Color films invented.

  14. 1956 • World War II German scientist made the first tape recorder.

  15. The Atari 2600 1970 • The Atari 2600 invented.

  16. 1972 • first handheld mobile video production camera

  17. 1975 • First cassette was the Sony Betamax

  18. 1977 • First laser disc developed by Phillips MCA

  19. 1995 • The first DV camcorder was introduced. (Sony DCR-VX1000) • First DVD(Twister)

  20. 1999 • First digital camera with interchangeable lenses.

  21. 2006 • YouTube is founded.
