EDEN Overview • Users: 400 physicians, 230 funeral directors, OME, LHD, State office • Web-based program using MySQL/PHP hosted at the state capitol data center • Operational August 1, 2006 • 15,000+ deaths per year
MESU Overview • Medical Examiner’s System of Utah • Users: OME pathologists, investigators and admin staff, Deputy ME’s and Law Enforcement statewide • MESU provides permanent storage for investigation information • 3100 deaths referred to OME in 2008 • 2000 deaths investigated in 2008
LIMS Overview • Laboratory Information Management System • Produced by Labware, client/server with Oracle • OME uses the Toxicology part of LIMS • There is currently no link between MESU and LIMS
