Feedback • Letters Need to be More Concise • New Sections: “What you need to Know” and “What you need to Do” • Employees Need More Information on Process • Created a new Informational Sheet for employees • Denied Leaves • Managers uncomfortable following up with employee • Difficulty in consistently applying discipline on denials • LOA Administrator will follow up with employee
Extensions to Leaves • Medical Leaves • Extensions beyond 3 months, then 6 months • FMLASource will e-mail Manager & HR • Mgr contacts HR to discuss if wish to deny extension • Must respond within 7 days • Or FMLASource will automatically Deny the leave • Parental Leaves • Process will apply for extensions beyond 6 months
New Process • Need for Efficient Notification of LOA’s to All Necessary Areas • Payroll, Employee Health & Benefits • Establishing new LOA Notification Form • Identified as Best Practice throughout CNE System • Electronic form can be completed then forwarded via email
How it Works • LOA Notification Form is located on Carenet • Once Leave is Requested • LOA Notification form is completed by Manager • Use first missed day as Start date • Also provide the Vac/Sick/PTO/EIB to be used • Rename and Save completed form
How it Works (cont) • Use WIH Group link (hold CTRL button and click link) • New email message opens with recipients and subject line auto filled • Attach form and Send • Upon return from Medical Leave • Employee Health updates Leave End Date field, then will forward
