NETWORK RELIABILITY AND INTEROPERABILITY (NRIC) COUNCIL IV FOCUS GROUP I - READOUT Peter G. Spring January 14, 1999 (Day 351)
Focus Group 1 Scope • Determine how the “Year 2000 problem” could adversely • affect the reliability, interconnectivity and interoperability of • public telecommunications networks. • The committee will assess the magnitude of the risks, review • efforts taken to address those risks and determine what additional • steps should be taken to mitigate risks. • In particular, the committee will determine that appropriate intra • and inter-network testing, contingency planning and network • monitoring have been arranged.
