DESCRIPTION OF TECHNOLOGY FOR WASTE MANAGEMENT. GOALS. ZERO WASTE = Divert BDW from landfilling Return nutriens from BDW to soil = Compost and fertilizer production Use waste as energy substitution = Bio fuel production
E N D
GOALS • ZERO WASTE = Divert BDW from landfilling • Return nutriens from BDW to soil = Compost and fertilizer production • Use waste as energy substitution = Bio fuel production • If BDW ispolluted (plastic etc.) = Fuel preparation for co-combustion
AEROBIC FERMENTATION • Composting is the process ofcontrolledaerobicdecomposition ofbiodegradableorganic matter • During composting, microorganisms break down organic matter into carbon dioxide, water, heat, and compost: USED FOR DRYING OFF THE MATTER
TEMPERATURES Commoncomposting process - longer time; lowtemperatureEWA - shortertime; highertemperature

Input material limits: Humidity max. 60% pH 4.5 – 8 Biomass and BDW must be shredded to the max. size 50 x 50 x 50mm Paper max. 100 x 100mm EWA
RESULTS • Within maximum 48hours bacteria stabilize and thermally hygienize the entire container space volume • Output from the fermentor is certified product – compost for agricultural or energy use • Bad odour elimination during waste processing • Low operating expenses (OPEX) • Low space requirements • WASTE FREE TECHNOLOGY
WASTE EXAMPLES • Waste-free technology for processing biodegradable waste • Waste from forestry, waste bark and cork • Animal manure, sludge from digestion tanks and cesspools • Biologically decomposable waste from the cellulose and paper production • Biologically decomposable waste from paper, pasteboard and wood • Sludge from communal waste water treatment • Sludge from the biological treatment of industrial waste waters • Waste from the milk industry, bakeries and, sweets • Waste from gardens and parks • Waste from processing fruit, vegetables, cereal grains, edible oils, yeast… • Waste from the production of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages • Biologically decomposable waste from kitchens and cafeterias • Edible grease and oil

EXEMPLE OF REALIZATION SWEDEN, horse manure and green waste, output biofuel and compost Our business partners in Sweden, treat horse manure and green waste to produce compost and biofuel. They have built the first boiler for heating schools, kindergartens and homes for the disabled, Reka boiler equipped with an output 490 kW.
EXEMPLE OF REALIZATION Agro-Eko output biofuel We use biofuel from fermentor to heat the assembly hall with an area app. 3,000 m2 using the biomass boiler with output of 240kW.
EXEMPLE OF REALIZATION THAILAND, BDW and Undersized fraction, output compost Solbien started the pilot project in Thailand with main goals: • Odour removal at local landfills • Undersized fraction processing • Processing water hyacinth
EXEMPLE OF REALIZATION NEW CALEDONIA, BDW and paper, output compost Solbien started the pilot project in New Caledonia in order to enable BDW waste processing in the place of origin in ecological way and to get marketable compost from processed waste.
EXEMPLE OF REALIZATION ISRAEL, different types of waste One aerobic fermentor EWA was delivered to Israel in December 2014 in order to proceed fermentation tests of different types of waste. So far, there three loads has been tested with positive results and fast temperature increase.
