History of Happy Paws • Inspired by her own furbabies, Teresa had always dreamed of creating the perfect place for dogs, somewhere her own dogs could play and socialize and somewhere she had the opportunity to educate dog owners about behavior, nutrition, and canine play. In April 2009, that dream became a reality when Teresa and her husband, Shawn, took over Happy Paws Doggy Daycare. Teresa is continually educating herself about behavior and nutrition, the topics she is most passionate about, through seminars, books, journals, and the newest research available. Besides being passionate about dogs, Teresa teaches at Assiniboine Community College, and loves to help her husband with their mixed cattle and grain farm north of Brandon. She also does pet therapy visits, participates in Rally-Obedience, and does Hunt Tests with her trained gun dog.
