Competence standard • Memahami makna teks tulis fungsional pendek dan esei sederhana berbentuk recount, narrative dan procedure dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari dan untuk mengakses ilmu pengetahuan
Basic competence • Merespon makna dan langkah retorika teks tulis esei secara akurat, lancar dan berterima dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari dan untuk mengakses ilmu pengetahuan dalam teks berbentuk: recount, narrative, dan procedure
Indicators • Students are able to identify the main information in the procedure text • Students are able to summarize the procedure text with their own words. • Students are able to produce a simple procedure with their own words.
Learning activity • Teacher greets students and tells student what they are going to do in class. • Teacher play an audio of a procedure text. • Students listen to the audio and are requaired to make some notes. • Students make group of 4 and discuss about what they have listened by showing their notes with their group member.
Teacher play the audio one more time. • Each group are requaired to write the main information from the procedure text they have listened on the piece of paper. • Teacher play a video with written form about the same procedure text. • Students are asked to revise their group work. • Teacher explain about general structure of procedure text.
Teacher mention some examples of procedure text in the daily life and encourage student to make their own procedure text. • Students are asked to make a simple procedure text with their own words. • Students are free to choose a topic for their procedure text they are going to make. • Students are requaired to submit their work on the next day. • Teacher end the class.
Definition • Procedure is the set of steps which should be completed in the right sequence to get the goal. In our daily life, we often have to perform some steps to make or get something done. • For example, early in the morning, you help your mother prepare cups of tea for all members of your family. In making cups of tea, you have to follow certain procedure in order to get a nice drink. Most of our daily activities are related with procedures. That is why, you should understand what a procedure text is, how to make and use it.

Ingredients • 4 eggs • 5 tbsp vinegar • 2 tbsp salt and pepper
Utensils • frying pan • 4 metal rings • fish slice • 4 ramekins.
Steps • Heat the water • Half fill pan with water • Put on medium heat • Add vinegar and salt • Put 4 metal rings in pan • Simmer • Break eggs into ramekins • Poache the eggs • Pour each egg into ring • Cook for 3-4 minutes • Remove the rings • Use cloth to protect the hands when removing the rings • Remove pan from heat • Serve imediately on toast • Season with salt and pepper
