Who do you give this speech too? ANYONE!!!!!
What is an Elevator Speech? An elevator speech is what you would give to introduce yourself the 30 seconds you have riding in an elevator with someone. How quickly and effectively can you tell someone who you are and peak their interest enough to get them to remember who you are and/or want to talk more.
Examples… For work I am… The Fairy JOBmother!!!!
Where do you use it??? ANYWHERE… Any opportunity you get to introduce yourself use this speech. The more times you say it the more common it becomes for you. The more people who hear it the more you become known as…
When do you use it? • When you are meeting someone. • When you are at a networking event and get a chance to introduce yourself. • When you are in an elevator. • Whenever you get a chance to say who you are and what you do.
How do you make an effective speech? • Give them something to remember. Whether it be a nickname, a rhyme, a pun, something about what you do and who you are and something that is catchy… • Hence… Fairy JOBmother. • Other examples – Collision Company saying they are the Rear End Specialist… • Catering Manager…She shouts who cooks for you… we shout back “you do…”
