Phrases like "my background is..." or a list of all the companies for whom you have worked does not necessarily show what you can do for a new company.

However by listing a job title, that might limit you in the employer’s eyes, if they don't have a job with that title. Some people prefer to say how I help companies in the beginning and maybe give a job title at the end when they repeat their name.

Practice so you can feel comfortable enough look them in the eye, be aware of your surroundings and be able to smile while talking. Don’t forget to exchange business cards.
