Equipment Authorization Program • The FCC currently has four equipment approval programs • Verification • Declaration of Conformity (DoC) • Supplier Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) • Certification • The product approval requirement is specified in the rule part under which equipment operates • All four programs involve the use of the private sector to varying degrees Update on SDoC - USA

Equipment Authorization Program Certification (Approved by FCC or TCB) Maximum The type of approval is specified in the rules for the particular type of device DoC (Self-approval using an accredited lab) SDoC (Self-approval Database by ACTA) Verification (Self-approval) Minimum Update on SDoC - USA

  4. FCC Authorization Requirements (1) TTE does not require the use of an accredited lab. (SDoC) (2) A TCB may certify this equipment Update on SDoC - USA

Suppliers Declaration of Conformity Section 68.324 • Responsible Party • Model Number • Statement of compliance • Reference to technical requirements • Date and place of issue • Signature, name and function of signatory • Statement of HAC compliance • Requirements established by Administrative Council Update on SDoC - USA

  8. SDoC Section 68.324 • Included in User’s Manual or separate document provided with equipment • Instructions as required by the Administrative Council • Copy of the declaration provided to Administrative Council • Make declaration available on company website Update on SDoC - USA

SDoC Section 68.326 – Records • Copy of Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity • Identity of testing facility • Detailed testing procedure used • Test results • Maintain records for at least 10 years after the manufacture of the equipment has been permanently discontinued (or investigation) Update on SDoC - USA

  10. SDoC Section 68.346 - Description of Testing Facilities • Responsible party shall retain a description of the testing facilities used • Required description to be given by the Administrative Council. Update on SDoC - USA
