  10. ELPAC February 1 - May 31 Practice Tests On Ylhs.org “English Language Learners”

  11. Reclassification Criteria English Language Proficiency = ELPAC 3 or 4 Teacher Evaluation = ELA Grade of C or Better & GPA 2.0 or Higher Parent Input and Teacher Recommendation Basic Skills = District Writing Prompt 3 or 4 & SBAC Proficiency

  12. 2017-2018 Reclassified F.E.P. 36 out of 69 52% Highest in PYLUSD!

  13. 2018-2019 71 Students Goal = 33% Reclassification Rate 24 out of 71 students

  14. Support of ELs with Multiple Ds and Fs Review Draft of Letter

  15. Single School Plan for STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

  16. School Goal: YLHS ELs will maintain 33% or above Fluent English Proficient reclassification rate.

  17. Action Steps: 1. Provide extended learning opportunities and tutoring for English Language Learners

  18. Action Steps: 3.2 Teachers will receive training to support the needs of English Learners in their classrooms including: 1. Designated ELD 2. Integrated ELD 3. Instructional strategies to support ELs including but not limited to: a) speaking and listening strategies (Kate Kinsella Five for All) b) writing as formative assessment c) equitable questioning strategies d) differentiation e) Gradual Release of Responsibility Framework for English Learners f) Scaffolds and supports for English Learners 4. English Learner Push-In Support Personnel 5. Technology to support student engagement
