Human Resource - SPV Chennai • Application received for appointment of CEO,CFO and CS on November 14th2016. It is under process –TNUIFSL • Programme Management Consultant – Bid evaluation completed. Coimbatore • Appointment of CEO,CFO and CS is in process . However, three officers from Coimbatore Corporation has already been deputed to SPV. • Programme Management Consultant – Bid evaluation completed

Transfer of Funds • GoI share of Rs. 188 Cr has already been transferred to SPV’s of Chennai & Coimbatore • GoTN has issued G.O to release GoTN Share of Rs. 200 Cr. on Nov 28th 2016 • GoI will release the balance of Rs. 8 Cr in respect of A&OE during Dec-2016 • GoI will release Rs. 196 Cr to Madurai, Vellore, Thanjavur & Salem after formation of SPVs in the respective cities and after opening of bank account in the name of the respective SPV.

Reforms • Improvement of Revenue through Advertisement Tax – • GCC has appointed the consultant for undertaking the feasibility study for augmenting the Revenue Sources of Corporation of Chennai by exploring Advertisements in Public Conveniences, Bus Shelters and Street Lamp Posts • CBE – Tender to be called for Advertisement Revenue ( RFP is under preparation) • Municipal Tax and Fee Improvement- Improvement in property Tax Collections • GCC & CBE - Tender to be called for – As part of Utility / Assets Mapping study – RFP is under preparation for Chennai and to be modified for other cities. • Generating additional revenue through Value Capturing Financing Tools • GCC & CBE - Tender to be called for
