Sunday, December 23 “Have A Mary Christmas!” Luke 1:26-45
Point to Remember A lesson of Christmas is that you must be like Mary and learn to believe God for the impossible.
Point Number One God uses everyone – youth, women, the weak, the poor, senior citizens – to carry out His will.
Point Number Two No matter the consequences, you are blessed and favored when God gives you an assignment.
Point Number Three You must value the Word and not the experience that brings you the Word. Mary didn’t seek encounters with angels, she sought the will of God.
Point Number Four Maturity brings responsibility. Zechariah was struck mute when he asked the angel, “How?” Mary got an answer.
Point Number Five It’s not just about you. God will use the lessons from your faith walk to teach other people as evidenced by Elizabeth’s pregnancy.
Point Number Six Without faith, it is impossible to please God. When the angel told Mary she would conceive by the Holy Spirit, she didn’t know who the Holy Spirit was. She accepted it by faith.
Have a Mary Christmas? A lesson of Christmas is that you must be like Mary and believe that God can do what He said He would do. What are you trusting God for right now that, if He doesn’t act on your behalf, you are helpless and will fail?
