Opportunities Program Overview • If you are a student in NYU’s CSTEP or HEOP program, you have the added benefit of the following resources: • Being assigned to a Student Counselor for all four years of your undergraduate study • Academic workshops and seminars • Free tutoring • Financial Aid Assistance • We encourage you to familiarize yourself with this overview of what you should expect during your first summer and semester at NYU.
Fall Schedules • As you register for Fall courses, please keep in mind: • Selected Fall classes may be changed based on Pre-Freshman Summer program performance. • All HEOP and CSTEP freshmen must register for corresponding workshops that support their credit bearing courses for both Fall and Spring semesters. • Freshman Seminar is mandatory for both Fall and Spring semesters. • Freshman Honors Seminar/Collegiate Seminar is mandatory during either the Fall or Spring semesters. Calc-ready Pre-Health students will take this class in the Spring semester. • In the place of Writing the Essay, all HEOP and CSTEP students must take Writing I (WRI-UF101) and Writing II (WRII-UF 102) to fulfill the writing requirement. There are no exceptions.
