Programme: Day 1: arrival in Longyearbyen in the afternoon, short sightseeing in town. Departure in the evening With the expedition ship Origo Day 2-3: Billefjorden, clastic and carbonate sedimentology of Carboniferous/Permian, led by Dave Hunt and Ron Steel Day 4: Hornsund, clastics of Carboniferous/Permian, led by Ron Steel and Dave Hunt Day 5-6: Van Keulenfjord, Cretaceous at Ullaberget, Tertiary at Storvola, led by Ron Steel The expeditionship M/S Origo has been tentative booked for the thirst week of September 2006. There will be a limit of 22 participants on this fieldtrip. Costs is estimated to be about 30.000 NOK per participants for the actually fieldtrip including food and accommodation on board. Flight-expenses to and from Spitsbergen is covered by each individual.
