  4. Index Venus Venus is the second planet of our solar system. & takes 224.7 earth days to orbit the sun. Its called the sister planet because in some ways it is very similar to Earth. Hottest planet of our solar system; it reaches to 460 °C & −220 °C. Named after the Roman Goddess of love & beauty.
