What Is Walk The Wish? Walk the Wish is an all school event which culminates with a 5 km walk in the forests surrounding the school. Since 2007 AISB students have helped fulfill 51 wishes. Each division is given three wishes to fulfill. To fulfill a wish, students need to fundraise by asking to be pledged an amount of money for their 5km walk. There is no minimum or maximum pledge. Everyone gives what they can. The event will start on Wednesday, September, 18 with a presentation at assembly where Csoda Lampa’s director will speak to students. Students will be able to get a pledge form during lunches on Thursday 19, Friday 20, Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 of September. The Walk will take place on Wednesday, September 25 @ 4:00pm
What Is Walk The Wish? Last year’s walk had 892 participants! We raised 980,000 HUF and fulfilled 10 wishes. Students in Pre-K,K, grade 1 and 2 walk around the track. Elementary students in grade 3,4,5 may walk in the forest provided they are accompanied by a parent. All participants are responsible to make their own way home after the event (There is no Sargent Bus service available). The Walk is followed by a community meal hosted by the PSA in both cafeterias. Pledge money can be given to the service coordinators in each division the week following the walk. This year’s pledge form
What Is Walk The Wish? After the Walk, AISB Students will often fulfill the wishes of the children in person or invite them to AISB to receive their wish. Prior to the Walk, AISB students will be invited to attend a lunchtime session where an oncologist will explain in age appropriate language what condition each wish child has. This year, AISB was honored to receive the first ever CSODA LAMPA Award given to highlight the contributions of our school community to the CSODA LAMPA Children. The award can be seen in the lobby of building B by the cafeteria. Four of last year’s wishes
