19 points = high self esteem 10-18 points = healthy self esteem, but need improvement 0-9 points = need to make improvements big-time!
Increased ability to reach goals: Confidence in yourself to try new things. The longer you strive for a goal & the harder you work for it, you have a better chance of reaching the goal!
The Development of Self-Esteem Self-Concept: a measure of how one views oneself.
Development of Self-Esteem Messages shape how you think about yourself. How you think about yourself shapes your self-esteem.
Development of Self-Esteem Use positive self-talk. Practice treating yourself well. Coach yourself about your own self-worth
Development of Self-Esteem Characteristic of doing what one knows is right. When you have integrity you respect others, yourself, and your values.
The Development of Self-Esteem Choose supportive friends. Avoid critical or disrespectful people. Maintain friendships with people who acknowledge your strengths.

Sell Yourself Activity WHO: Siblings, family history WHAT: What are your hobbies? WHEN: When were you born? Of your birthdays, which one is the most memorable and why? WHERE: Where did you go to Elementary and Middle school? WHY: Why should someone want to get to know you? Type this report. Must have 5 sentences for each topic.
Collage Your small pictures and/or clippings must cover the entire poster. Do not have a few large pictures on your poster and think that would be sufficient to complete the project. Your pictures should be a reflection of your character and personality. This collage and written paper is due at the end of this unit.
