Growth - Varsity Plus Goal – help Varsity teams with more than enough players but not enough for separate JV team grow their program through retention and add playing opportunities. Program Overview • Full Varsity team and a JV team that plays maximum of 9 JV games • Less experienced varsity players played a “3rd Half” to fill out the JV team as necessary • Recommended for programs with 25-35 players

League Realignment Update Why Realign? Respond to recent growth and preserve the opportunity to participate, excel, and experience a well organized and competitive girls’ high school lacrosse extracurricular activity. • Created Committee with 1-2 reps for each league • Discussed several scenarios that add 2-3 new leagues • Establish league size to range from 5-7 teams • balance league/non league play • help manage potential growth • limit travel distance for league games • align to OSAA conferences • Determined current number Varsity teams we were below ideal league size with future scenarios so no changes for 2012 • Committee will review scenarios at end of 2012
Scheduling Scheduling • Each team must play each contest for which they are scheduled. • Double check school and district calendar before finalizing schedule • Think about scheduling 1-2 makeup games • Must have minimum of 9 field players to start a game without forfeiting the game Non league • All Teams will be responsible for scheduling their own Non League matchups and contests. • Plan the # of NL matchups your program can handle (max. 18 games in-state) • Contact coaches directly to schedule
