Principal teachers Miss Dillon and Mr. Murphy were charged with the responsibility of leading the staff in the development of the school’s Vision Values and Aims.
Miss Dillon and Mr. Murphy worked together to seek guidance on the Vision, Values and Aims from a variety of sources and organisations.
Staff were invited to an active learning session in the school gym hall to compare, contrast and comment on the samples provided.
Post-it notes were used for the staff to record their comments. All members of staff within the school were consulted.
After everyone had a chance to comment on the samples, they were directed by Miss Dillon and Mr. Murphy to their working groups.
When in their working groups, the staff worked collaboratively to discuss their comments about each sample. The groups completed a tick sheet evaluation to allow for their views to be recorded.
Vision, Values and Aims 2013-14 The comments, overall, were very constructive and give us a perfect platform to move onto consulting the other stakeholders in the process towards achieving our new Vision, Values and Aims.
