The College has 987,000 square feet of buildings in 12* counties. The College has 957 employees, both full-time and part-time. The College’s budget is approximately $50m. Approximately $20m allocated by the State of Georgia
CGTC’s Mission Central Georgia Technical College, a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, provides traditional and distance learning educational programs and services. Through credit instruction, adult education, and customized business and industry workforce training, the College contributes to economic and workforce development within its eleven‐county* service area and throughout the State of Georgia.

MGTC Spring 2012 Pilot • 32 students started the program • 25 students remained (78% semester retention) • 19 of the 25 (76%) completed their GED • 23 of the 25 (92%) completed a TCC or are continuing their education • 16 of the 25 completed a TCC • 12 of these 16 graduates enrolled for next term • 7 of the 25 not finishing a TCC are progressing toward program completion • 3 remain in Business Administrative Technology • 4 transferred to other TCC, diploma, or degree programs • 20 of the 25 (80%) tested program ready
CGTC Pilot – Fall 2012 • 30 students enrolled in 2 credit programs* (WELD & MS Office) • 22/30 remained enrolled (73% retention) • 14/30 completed TCC (47%) • 20/39 (51%) continued enrollment * non credit (Manufacturing) 15/18 completers
Course Attainment Attainment refers to the percentage of students completing the course with an A, B, or C.
Student Survey Results Those responses that were most agreed (M>3.5)with: • “I would recommend the AO program to other GED students” (M=3.71) • “Being in the AO pilot program has been good for me”(M=3.67), • “The AO program provides me with the support I need to be successful” (M=3.63) • “I feel connected to the program faculty” (M=3.58) • “The program faculty provides me with the support I need to be successful”(M=3.58) • “I feel connected to the GED faculty” (M=3.54) • Of these, six responses to the 150 statements were Disagree or Strongly Disagree, resulting in an overall agreement of 96%
