Children and Teen Librarians provides assistance to children, runsprograms, and watches over the room, stepping in to provide temporarychildcare in potential short absences of the parent (should theywant to go and get a book in another part of the library, for example) tech savvy, with similar interests,available to assist where needed and run any teen programming. Outside of the Library Installation and Outpost Libraries • Small yet comprehensive libraries embedded within preexisting community spaces • Purpose: expanding library services and targeting services for a specific community of patrons • Locations depend on the specific needs and characteristics of communities: Highly-trafficked public spaces, such as markets, malls, and transportation centers can serve as good locations. • Sample services offered: Reference, small lending collections, holds pick-ups, public use computers, library card sign-up Who said the library had to be in one defined space?! We certainly didn’t! &
