Advising using the Portal (ULink) • ULink is the University’s student information system. • Students have access to update their address, obtain unofficial transcripts, grade reports, class schedules, register for classes and check on financial aid status advisor information, holds, transfer credit, etc.
Advisor Code • In order to remove the Advising Hold an advisor must have Advisor Access. • Fill out the Request for Advisor Code form, found on the second page of the final test, however it can also be found on page 3 of the Advisor Handbook. • Send completed form to Bette Harris, Academic Success Center. • As soon as advisor training attendance is verified, you will receive an email with your Advisor Code giving you access to the Student Advising Profile.

Student Advising Profile In order to access Student Advising Profile you must have Advisor Authorization.
Student Advising Profile Advisee List may be selected from this page
Student Advising Profile Only UL Lafayette courses are listed. Do not print transcripts for students.
Student Advising Profile Encourage students to take care of Holds affecting registration before their appointment time.
Student Advising Profile Transcripts are divided by institutions and by dates of attendance. If courses are not evaluated, you may check with the Transfer Coordinator in the student’s college.
Student Advising Profile If a student has dropped a course with a “W”, the course will still be listed. If the drop has been processed, the last semester of the transcript will show a “W”.
Student Advising Profile Records will show the CLID that lifted the Student’s Academic Advising Hold.
Student Advising Profile Anyone using an advisor’s CLID and password will have access to the advisor’s email and, in the near future, personal information Including their pay stub.
Student Advising Profile Always begin a new advising session by going back to Student Advising Profile. To logout, close the Advising Profile window and click Logout.

Advisee’s Role • Make appointment & be prepared • Complete blue advising form • Check pre & co-requisites • Recognize abilities & time constraints • Working 20 hrs./12 credits • Working 30 hrs./9 credits
