Why were the Colonies founded • The colonies were founded for many reasons . One reason , is that they weren't given religious freedom. • Second, The fathers never gave the young people any land so they came to America to get land.
Geographic Characteristics • There are 3 major mountains ranges. • The major rivers are the Connecticut, Hudson, Delaware, Merrimack, Potomac,Roanoke, Susquehanna • Cities in the 13 colonies Boston,Plymouth, Newport,New York, Jamestown,Savannah,Providence, Philadelphia, Charleston, Williamsburg
Key Founders • One of the key founder was Peter Minuet because he founded 2 places. • Another key founder is the Virginia Colonists because they found 2 places .
What Role did Religion Play Religion plays a big part of the 13 colonies. First,it is the reason that they came to America. Next, they came to have religious rights. Last,some of the founders were driven from the places they lived from their religious beliefs .
Economic Conditions Most of the colonists were farmers they farmed corn, beans, pigs, chickens and cows. Some owned shops, others fished or shipped goods, still more spun yarn which they wove into cloth.
Slavery in The 13 Colonies Slavery in the southern colonies was so bad that a women salve burned her owners house. In the middle colonies slavery wasn’t very bad they believed in doing their own work.
