LiNbO3 (Lithium Niobate) crystals Main properties • Colorless synthetic single crystal, grown from melt by Czochralski method • Crystal symmetry: 3м, rhombohedra structure. • Crystal structure: Trigonal, space group R3c • Density: 4,628 g/cm3 • Melting point: 1260 ˚С • Curie point: 1140°C • Hardness: 5 Mohs • Optical spectral range: 0,4-5 mkm • Cell parameters: a=5.148Å, c=13.863Å

LiNbO3 crystals application Lithium Niobate (LiNbO3) is a useful material for optoelectronics. Many technologies are based on this material which has unique piezo-electric, optical and photoelastic properties while exhibiting mechanical and chemical stability. The combination of excellent electro-optical, acousto-optical and non-linear optical properties makes an attractive host material for application in integrated optics. LiNbO3 crystal is also the mostly used inorganic substrate for electro-optic waveguide applications. So material can be widely used for Optical Modulators, Q-Switches, Pockels Cell, Optical Parametric Oscillators (OPOs), Quasi-Phase-Matched (QPM) devices etc.
