Air Force Tuition Assistance Schools must have signed the DoD MOU or Tuition Assistance will not be allowed Schools should assist students by ensuring that the TA form has the correct course title and dates
Air Force Tuition Assistance • The basics: • TA pays up to $250.00 per semester hour, $166.66 per quarter hour • Can be used for one each, A, B, M or a certificate • Annual TA limit of $4500.00 per student • DoD mandates that we convert contact hours to semester hours at the rate of 45 to 1 • Schools can convert contact hours to semester hours and list semester hours on degree plan • .
Before applying for TA, students must: • Attend a first time tuition assistance user briefing with the Education office • Notify their supervisor that they intend to take classes • Provide an evaluated degree plan to the education center Air Force Tuition Assistance
Air Force Tuition Assistance Students must: • Apply for tuition assistance prior to course start date • Supply school with a copy of the TA form (is similar to a third party payment voucher ) • Ensure grades are posted to their AF education record, if not reported, they will be required to reimburse the AF • Maintain a 2.0 GPA or TA will be denied
